From fertility

to Family

Becoming a parent is one of life’s most profound and meaningful transitions — filled with hope, excitement, and joy. It can also bring uncertainty, grief, fear and changes that take time to navigate.

From trying to conceive and pregnancy through birth and early parenthood, this is a space to explore the highs and challenges of the journey, understand what you’re experiencing, process what you’ve been through, and feel more confident in finding your way forward. Most important, you are not alone in this journey.

Part 1

Becoming a parent

The journey towards pregnancy can be full of mountains: bring hope, excitement and anticipation, but also uncertainty, disappointment and fear. For some, pregnancy happens unexpectedly; for others, months or even years of trying can make each cycle a new wave of hope and disappointment.

Experiences such as infertility, fertility treatment and miscarriage can bring profound emotions that are often difficult to talk about. Pregnancy loss, in particular, can be deeply painful while remaining largely hidden or unspoken in our society.

This is a space to slow down and make room for these feelings — to process disappointment, fear, grief and uncertainty, understand how these experiences are affecting you, and find support as you navigate your own path towards parenthood.

Pregnancy

Pregnancy can be an exciting and deeply meaningful experience, but it can also bring emotions that are unexpected or difficult to navigate. As your body changes and you carry a growing baby, you may experience vulnerability, anxiety, excitement, fear or uncertainty — sometimes all at once.

We can create space to understand these feelings, connect with your changing body, and work through the fears and expectations that can arise during pregnancy.

Your Changing Body

Pregnancy brings profound physical and hormonal changes that can affect how you feel, think and experience yourself. You may feel excited about these changes while also feeling vulnerable, disconnected from your body, or worried about how your body will change and whether you will feel like yourself again. We can explore body image, self-acceptance and your changing relationship with your body throughout pregnancy and beyond.

Anxiety and Fear

Worries about your baby's health, the pregnancy or what could go wrong can become difficult to quiet. We can work on understanding these fears and finding ways to feel more grounded.

Pregnancy After Loss or Fertility Struggles

After miscarriage, infertility or fertility treatment, being pregnant can bring both immense joy and fear. We can work through the uncertainty and help you make space for the pregnancy you are experiencing now.

Connecting With Your Baby

Some people feel an immediate connection; for others, it develops gradually. We can explore your feelings towards your baby, your hopes and fears, and the relationship that is beginning to form.

Preparing for Birth

Birth can bring excitement as well as fear, particularly if you have had a difficult previous experience or are worried about what lies ahead. We can explore your fears, build a sense of confidence and help you feel more emotionally prepared.

Birth and postpartum

Birth can be an intense and deeply emotional experience. Sometimes it unfolds as hoped; sometimes it is very different from what you expected. Even when everything goes well medically, the experience can leave you with emotions, memories or questions that need time and space to process.

We can explore what happened, how you experienced it, and how it may be affecting you now — whether you are carrying difficult memories, feeling disconnected from your body, experiencing fear or hypervigilance, or simply trying to make sense of everything that changed.

Processing Birth Experience

Whether your birth was beautiful, difficult, unexpected or traumatic, you may need time to make sense of what happened and how you experienced it.
